Woman shot during fight in Provo

An argument outside a Provo restaurant ended with a woman shot in the leg after her friend stepped into the fight, police said.
The woman was arguing with a man outside Sweet’s Restaurant, at 711 W. Columbia Lane, when the 21-year-old friend approached them at about 3 a.m., Provo police said. The friend pulled out a gun and hit the man in the face with the barrel. The man tried to take it from him and the gun discharged. The woman was hit in the thigh.
