Utah aiming to settle 15-year Medicaid claims case

Utah officials are agreeing to end 15 years of legal wrangling by settling a multimillion-dollar class-action lawsuit involving about 2,000 Medicaid claims.
The agreement reportedly would have the state pay .5 million to a class of personal-injury victims who claimed they were shortchanged on medical expenses covered by the state’s Medicaid program.
Plaintiffs’ attorney Robert Sykes says the case should have been settled years ago.
