A New Jersey man has settled his lawsuit against the Utah Highway Patrol for ,000 plus attorneys’ fees of ,340.
Vladimir Voevodsky, of Princeton, claimed that troopers illegally seized his belongings from his hotel room after they arrested him in April 2007. In a suit filed in U.S. District Court, he said the items — a backpack, clothing, books and a digital camera — had never been returned.
The state denies any wrongdoing.
