Sandy couple drown in Jordan River

A Sandy couple drowned while kayaking Sunday afternoon in the Jordan River.
Kelly and Joseph Glasser were paddling from 11400 South with a friend about 4 p.m. when they reached a small waterfall under a bridge at 6600 South, said Murray fire spokesman Russ Groves.
The Glassers, who were in rigid, sit-inside kayaks, were sucked into the undertow, Groves said. The third man, who was in an inflatable kayak, had made his way through the falls and went back for his friends, Groves said.
