Nine months in jail for man who abused girl

An 81-year-old man who admitted sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl who came to his Murray home to deliver cookies was sentenced Friday to 270 days in jail.
Jay Marvin Smith Sr. will be on probation for three years after he completes the prison term imposed by 3rd District Judge Judith Atherton.
