New chairman appointed to state parole board

Gov. Gary Herbert has appointed Clark Harms as chairman of the state Board of Pardons and Parole.
“Clark is uniquely qualified to serve as the next chairman,” Herbert said. “He has several years of experience serving on the board, and has proven his capacity to take on this responsibility with integrity and thoughtful past public service.”
Harms was appointed to the parole board in May 2006 by then Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. He was named vice chairman in May 2007.
