Man charged with hit-and-run that killed another motorist

A West Jordan man faces felony charges for allegedly hitting and killing a man with his car, then fleeing the scene.
On Oct. 23, Ronald Matthew Torres was driving his Mitsubishi Lancer on 4700 South and rammed into the back of a Mazda van driven by Milton Patterson, charging documents state. When Patterson exited the car to check out the damage, Torres reversed and sped off, striking and killing Patterson.
