Jury deliberates in neighborhood-watch shooting case

Prosecutors on Monday scoffed at Reginald Campos’ claim of self-defense for shooting and paralyzing a fellow neighborhood-watch advocate last year on a Bluffdale street.
“This case is about a man in a rage, a man on a hunt, a man pursuing — and later finding — his prey,” Deputy Salt Lake County District Attorney Nathan Evershed told a 3rd District Court jury during closing arguments.
“It’s about civilized society vs. the man who takes the law into his own hands,” Evershed continued.
