Christensen appointed as Utah’s interim U.S. Attorney

An experienced prosecutor has been chosen as interim U.S. Attorney for Utah. Carlie Christensen was appointed by Attorney General Eric Holder to the position, which becomes effective Friday and lasts 120 days.
Christensen has been acting U.S. Attorney since Brett Tolman resigned from the job in December. She has been a federal prosecutor for in Utah for 19 years. Among other cases, she has defended the establishment of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and helped prosecute Utahns …
