Boy falls in front of TRAX train, but receives only minor injuries

A 2-year-old boy who fell into the path of an oncoming TRAX train was taken to a hospital with only minor injuries Monday morning.
Salt Lake City police Lt. Cal Kunz said the boy was playing with his mother as the train approached the station platform at 255 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City when he fell into a gap between the curb and the tracks. The train went over the boy, but he was not hit by the wheels.
